Well Jackie, I have said it before, America should be ashamed of the fact that her citizens do not have free health care. Britain, Japan, most of Europe, Saudi Arabia, and even "lesser" countries than America can do this, so why can not the US?. Please do not say cost, because what America spends on defense in one second could end world starvation at a stroke. I said on an earlier Q you asked, that Americans are good at saying "most powerful nation on earth", really? The most powerful nation can not take care of her peoples health, really?. Doesn't sound very "powerful" to me. When it comes to peoples health, cost should not be an issue in a country with money coming out of it's ears. If someone collapses in the street in America, the paramedics should be checking for a pulse, not for a wallet

Give me a plan that doesn't pay for routine doctor visits. one that pays for catastrophic illness. Americans do not shop COST for health care. They take what they get. We need to put doctors in a position where we simply refuse to pay $125 for an office visit. If the money is coming from US, we WILL shop and doctors will lower their fees. We will also rule out elective surgeries that are soooo carelessly recommended by physicians because they know it doesn't cost YOU anything. It's not going to be perfect. But it will be much better than what we have
