I work in Health Information Administration and I do not understand why you feel computerized medical records would be a "move towards totalitarianism. " The laws that govern privacy of this information would remain the same. Only agencies that are already involved in your health care doctors, insurance companies, etc. would have access to the information. Inappropriate use of health information is against the law. Having the information stored in computers instead of on paper doesn't change that. Developing better technology for this purpose could also generate new jobs
Nope its all part of the plan to eventually have one world power and total control over the people. do not be fooled by things being done BECAUSE OF NATIONAL SECURITY. Most of those things are simply to hold control over the people and invade our personal lives. The issue for me is not whether we want it right now or not. The issue is that it has no place in a "stimulus" bill and should have its own legislation that can be openly debated instead of Democrats sneaking it through a larger unrelated bill

The technology is merely a matter of computerizing medical records, making them much easier to store and to retrieve. This is not an invasion of your privacy, or a taking over of your life by the government. It will actually make health care much more efficient and a lot cheaper
That the Medical technology be at least as modern as the supermarkets makes sense. Bar codes on medicines so that adult strength is not acci given to infants as with those twins will save lives. The freeing up of space which is now holding triplicate hard copies of files. It all makes sense. Prevent surgeries on the wrong body parts because someone used poor handwriting skill
